1. Return window
You may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. To start a return, contact us within 30 days of the date your order was delivered.
2. What can be returned
Items must be returned in their original condition: unworn, unused, with all original tags, packaging, the original packing slip, and any free gifts included with the order. Items that have been worn, scratched, sized, engraved, altered, or used will not be accepted.
3. Pierced earrings - hygiene rule
Pierced earrings are shipped in sealed hygiene packaging. Once the hygiene seal has been broken or the earrings have been removed from their packaging, they cannot be returned for any reason except where the item is faulty or was sent in error.
If you receive pierced earrings and want to return them, please do not open the hygiene packaging. Sealed, unopened pierced earrings can be returned within the 30-day window.
4. How to start a return
Email us at bohdan@stainlessjewellery.com with:
- your order number;
- the item(s) you want to return;
- the reason for the return (faulty / wrong item / change of mind);
- a clear, high-resolution photo, if the item is damaged or not as described.
We will reply within 2-3 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and the return shipping address. For return approvals that involve our supplier, please allow up to 5 business days. Please do not ship items back without an RMA - packages sent without authorisation cannot be processed and may be refused.
5. Return shipping costs
- Change of mind on orders of $50 or more - we cover return shipping. After we issue your RMA, we will email you a prepaid USPS return label. Drop the package at any USPS location.
- Change of mind on orders under $50: you pay the return shipping cost. We strongly recommend a tracked service (typically $5-$8 via USPS Ground or UPS Ground) - we cannot refund items that do not reach us.
- Faulty, damaged, or incorrect item - we cover return shipping regardless of order value. Send us the photos with your RMA request and we will email a prepaid return label.
6. Refunds and timing
Once your return arrives and has been inspected, we will let you know whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Realistic timeline: please allow up to 30 business days from the day you ship the return to the day funds reach your account. The cycle is typically: 3-7 business days transit to our return centre, 3-5 business days inspection, up to 14 business days to issue the refund, plus your card issuer's standard processing time (usually 5-10 business days). Original outbound shipping is refunded only where the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
Where we are unable to refund to the original method (for example because the card has expired), we will arrange an alternative such as a bank transfer or store credit.
7. Exchanges
Wrong-size exchanges (same item, different size): within 30 days of delivery we offer a flat $5 re-shipping fee instead of a full return-and-reorder. Email us at bohdan@stainlessjewellery.com with your order number and the size you need. We will provide the return address and, once we receive the original in unworn condition, ship the new size for the $5 fee. This is faster and cheaper for you than a full refund cycle.
Different style, colour, or product: we do not process style exchanges directly. Please return the original product for a refund under section 4 and place a new order - that is the fastest way to get what you want.
8. Faulty or incorrect items
If your item arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you. Your statutory rights under applicable United States federal and state law are not affected.
9. Items that cannot be returned
- Pierced earrings with broken hygiene seals or removed from sealed packaging (see section 3).
- Items returned after the 30-day return window.
- Items that have been worn, used, sized, engraved, or otherwise altered.
- Items returned without an RMA or without the original packing slip and packaging.
- Final-sale or clearance items, where marked as such at purchase (does not affect statutory rights for faulty items).
10. Cancellation before dispatch
If your order has not yet shipped, email us as soon as possible - we will try to cancel it. Once an order has been handed to the carrier, it must be returned under the process above.
